The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered

Trailer cards

Witcher 3 Remastered changes

Witcher 3 Remastered changes are the ten first-party trailer cards plus the CDPR snapshot, not the 2022 Next-Gen patch list. The official announcement trailer IGk17XQ7IrQ puts upgraded visuals, enhanced combat, improved traversal and movement, new Witcher Signs FX, revamped mount handling, enhanced monster behaviours, a skill tree revamp, transmogrification, expanded photo mode, and new finishers on screen. Photo mode already existed in 2022. CDPR has not published fps or resolution modes. Click a chapter to load that record; Play Trailer stays a local poster until you choose Play.

Presentation

Visuals, photo mode, and what 2022 already shipped

The upgraded-visuals card is the first trailer beat. PC Gamer quotes Miles Tost on new textures, updated rendering, path tracing and foliage. IGN lists Nvidia DLSS 4.5, AMD FSR 4, Intel XeSS 2.0, path tracing and ray reconstruction as PC stack items shown or briefed with the trailer. Those PC names are observed from editorial briefings, not a CDPR spec table. They still belong in 2026 copy, not in a 2022 Next-Gen recap.

Expanded photo mode is on the trailer card and in the CDPR snapshot. The 14 December 2022 Next-Gen Update already added a photo mode. Remastered expands that tool; it does not introduce photography to Wild Hunt. If a 2022 Complete Edition note is your only source for photo mode, you are describing the middle layer.

CDPR, Steam, Nintendo and Xbox have not published a performance-mode table before launch. Trailer footage is not a spec sheet. This page will not invent fps, resolution presets, or Switch 2 quality modes from compressed YouTube frames.

Gameplay

Combat, Signs, finishers, traversal, mounts, monsters

Enhanced combat sits on the trailer with new finishers as a separate card. CDPR news repeats combat and finishers in the same snapshot. New Witcher Signs FX is its own card: the change is the effect language, not a hidden 2022 ray-tracing bullet. Click Signs FX in the chapter row to pin that record while the facade stays a poster.

Improved traversal and movement and revamped mount handling are two cards, not one. The 2015 game already had Roach and climbing; Remastered announces a handling and movement pass. Enhanced monster behaviours is the AI card. None of these sentences appear in the 2022 Next-Gen press note that listed RT modes, photo mode and Netflix-inspired extras.

The ship-deck Complete Edition still below is combat art from the 292030 gallery, labelled as Next-Gen/Complete Edition store art, not Remastered footage. Use it to see the kind of fight the combat card is talking about, not as proof of 2026 animation.

IGk17XQ7IrQ

The announcement still is the trailer card, not a spec sheet

The official announcement still bound to YouTube IGk17XQ7IrQ is Geralt with Ciri, Yennefer and Triss before a dead oak, with the Remastered banner and Official Announcement Trailer label. It is first-party marketing for the 25 August 2026 reveal. It is not a frame-rate overlay and it is not Next-Gen gallery art from app 292030. Steam's Complete Edition screenshots remain historical plates; this oak-tree frame is the 2026 poster.

Keep that still next to the ten cards so the trailer and the list stay one object. Play remains a click that injects one youtube-nocookie iframe. Until then the facade is a poster. CDPR has not published fps or resolution on this artwork or anywhere else before launch. IGN's PC stack names are not printed on this still. Do not treat a compressed YouTube thumbnail as a mode table for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, or Nintendo Switch 2.

Progression

Skill tree, transmogrification, and observed extras

Skill tree revamp and transmogrification are trailer cards and CDPR snapshot items. Transmogrification is the announced system for mixing gear appearance and stats. It is not a 2022 Next-Gen cosmetic line. The skill tree revamp is a Remastered progression change, not a reprint of the 2015 character panel.

Editorial briefings list immersive meditation and cross-platform mod support among Remastered additions. They are not independently specified with controls in the CDPR snapshot. Treat them as observed until CDPR publishes a control or spec description. They are still 2026-era notes, not 2022 patch notes.

Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine are included in Remastered and granted to current base-game owners; they are 2015–2016 story expansions, not trailer cards. Songs of the Past is a 2027 Letten expansion and is not on this list. If a feature cannot be traced to a trailer card, the CDPR snapshot, or a named editorial briefing, it does not belong on this folio.

Click each of the ten chapter buttons to rewrite the detail pane without changing the rest of the page. The Signs FX chapter must highlight New Witcher Signs FX while the facade remains a Ciri/Geralt-adjacent YouTube poster until you press Play. Play injects one youtube-nocookie iframe beside the button, not inside it. Reloading the page returns the poster. That interaction is the whole point of this folio: the trailer is the spec list, and the list is not a 2022 patch note dump.

Yigsoft is the Remastered co-developer named by CDPR; Fool's Theory belongs on the Songs of the Past page. Battle.net is a storefront, not a graphics API. DLSS, FSR and XeSS stay in the observed PC stack paragraph, visually secondary to the ten cards, because they are not on-screen trailer titles. Steam app 292030 still does not list a frame-rate table. Keep those boundaries when you quote this page in a store argument.

14 Dec 2022

Keep 2022 Next-Gen features off this list

The Next-Gen Update of 14 December 2022 already shipped ray-traced modes, a photo mode, Netflix-inspired extras, and bundled expansions. Those four claims are Complete Edition history. Remastered's photo-mode card is an expansion of the 2022 tool. Remastered's visual card is a 2026 texture, rendering, path-tracing and foliage pass, not a reprint of 2022 RT modes. If a guide still titles itself Next-Gen and cites December 2022, it is the wrong leaf.

Netflix-inspired extras from 2022 are not on the ten-card list. Neither is a quest rewrite, a new region, or Letten. Letten is Songs of the Past. Toussaint is Blood and Wine. Kaer Morhen is 2015. This page only holds what the trailer and the CDPR snapshot attached to Remastered.

When you compare shopping notes with a friend, paste the ten names and the 29 September 2026 date. If their list starts with ray tracing and photo mode without saying 2022, they are mixing layers. Send them the remastered-versus-Next-Gen folio after this one.
