The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Songs of the Past is a paid 2027 expansion set in Letten, Steam DLC 5006530, co-developed with Fool's Theory. CD PROJEKT RED announced it on 27 May 2026, then announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered on 25 August 2026 as a separate free overhaul. Remastered does not contain this expansion. Platforms announced for Songs of the Past are PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Wishlist it on Steam; do not expect it inside the 29 September Remastered client.

A separate Steam app, a separate year

Steam appdetails for 5006530 title the product The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Songs of the Past. That is not app 292030. Remastered upgrades 292030. Songs of the Past is DLC with its own store entity, its own trailer SB3siHVCHpY, and a 2027 window with no announced day. CDPR's May Steam news and the August Remastered post both exist because these are two products sharing a gamescom cycle.

The price model is a paid expansion. includedInRemastered is false in the structured record. If a Battle.net graphic shows both names, that is a store partnership, not a bundle that puts Letten inside the free 29 September download. Expansion buyers on Battle.net unlock a Geralt-inspired Diablo 4 skin, with more detail promised at BlizzCon in September — a Songs purchase perk, not a Remastered perk.

The Steam header for 292030 currently wears a New Expansion Wishlist Now ribbon. That ribbon is a cross-sell onto 5006530. It is why this page also shows the Complete Edition header: so the ribbon is read as marketing on the old SKU, not as proof that Remastered includes Letten.

The Songs teaser still is not Remastered art

The official Songs of the Past teaser thumbnail shows Geralt in moonlight with a chain weapon and an expansion-pack label. It is bound to YouTube SB3siHVCHpY on The Witcher channel. It is not the Remastered oak-tree announcement still (IGk17XQ7IrQ) and it is not Complete Edition gallery art from Steam 292030. Play the teaser only from this leaf so the two trailers stay on their own products.

If a social post crops this moonlight frame onto a 29 September upgrade graphic, it is mixing SKUs. Remastered's still is the oak-tree ensemble. Songs of the Past's still is this expansion-pack portrait. Letten is not in either Complete Edition screenshot on this site. Fool's Theory is the co-developer named on this product, not Yigsoft. Steam 5006530 is the store entity to wishlist for 2027, and Remastered does not contain that download.

Letten, Dandelion, and what the teaser actually says

CDPR describes Letten as an idyllic rural realm with a hidden dark secret. Xbox Wire identifies it as Dandelion's homeland. Steam news for the May announcement is the first-party Letten beat. The official teaser is YouTube SB3siHVCHpY on The Witcher channel. There is no Letten region still in the trusted Remastered manifest; do not borrow Toussaint or Velen shots and caption them as Letten.

The teaser thumbnail on this page is bound to that video. Play injects a youtube-nocookie iframe; the poster is not Remastered footage. Geralt returns with an old friend for a grand adventure in that new region, in CDPR's own English copy. That sentence is Songs copy. It does not describe the 29 September overhaul.

Platforms announced for Songs of the Past match Remastered's set: PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2. Sharing platforms does not share a SKU. A Switch 2 Remastered claim on 29 September 2026 does not drop Letten. Letten is 2027.

Fool's Theory versus Yigsoft

CDPR says Songs of the Past is co-developed with Fool's Theory. CDPR says Remastered is co-developed with Yigsoft. Eurogamer repeats the Yigsoft credit on the Remastered side. Swapping those studio names swaps the products. Yigsoft does not make Letten in the captured copy. Fool's Theory does not make the 2026 visual overhaul in the captured copy.

Blizzard Entertainment is a store partner, not a third co-developer of either client. The Battle.net deal puts both Remastered and Songs of the Past on that storefront and attaches a Diablo 4 cosmetic to Songs buyers. Blizzard is why Battle.net exists as a Witcher 3 PC aisle. It is not a reason to merge 292030 and 5006530.

If you are shopping before 29 September 2026, the free question is Remastered eligibility. The 2027 question is whether you want a paid Letten expansion. This page answers the second question so the first page can stay clean.

Steam 5006530 is wishlistable now. Remastered on 292030 is a 29 September 2026 client change. Nintendo Switch 2 owners who claim Remastered still have to buy Songs of the Past later if they want Letten. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S follow the same split. How to keep the two store pages separate at checkout

On Steam, the library copy you already own is Complete Edition 292030. The ribbon that says New Expansion Wishlist Now is a link toward 5006530. Clicking it does not download Remastered early and does not add Letten to the 29 September patch. On Nintendo eShop, the Switch 2 product titled The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered is the 2026 overhaul. Songs of the Past will need its own eShop entity when Nintendo publishes one; that entity is not in the captured Remastered listing.

On Battle.net, both names appear because of the Blizzard partnership. Buy Remastered there if you have no other PC license. Buy Songs of the Past there if you want Letten and the Diablo 4 cosmetic. Do not assume a Battle.net bundle is the free Steam upgrade. The free Steam upgrade is 292030 on 29 September 2026.
