Witcher 3 Remastered release history is six dated events, not a marketing blob. 19 May 2015: original The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. 14 December 2022: Next-Gen Update / Complete Edition. 27 May 2026: Songs of the Past announced for 2027. 25 August 2026: Remastered announced at gamescom Opening Night Live. 29 September 2026: Remastered scheduled launch. 2027: Songs of the Past window with no day. From the 2015 launch to the 2022 Complete Edition

19 May 2015 is the original The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt launch. Steam appdetails sometimes show 18 May 2015; both stamps refer to the paid 2015 SKU. Hearts of Stone followed in October 2015 and Blood and Wine in May 2016 as paid expansions. That is the historical game Fandom still encyclopedias. This folio only needs the date so Remastered is not mistaken for the original shipment.

14 December 2022 is the Next-Gen Update / Complete Edition launch. CDPR's press centre lists ray tracing, photo mode, Netflix-inspired extras, and bundled expansions as a free upgrade on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Steam's live display name The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition dates from that day. App 292030 did not split.

Those two ticks are the left side of the spine. Everything announced in 2026 sits to their right. If a feature list mentions RT modes and December 2022, it is the Next-Gen tick, not the Remastered launch tick.

Songs of the Past was announced before Remastered

On 27 May 2026 CDPR announced Songs of the Past for 2027, with Steam news describing Letten. That tick is three months before gamescom. Treating the May expansion announcement as a Remastered chapter is the error this timeline exists to block. Click the 2026-05-27 tick: the pane must say Songs of the Past is a separate 2027 expansion.

The 2027 tick has a year and no day. CDPR has not published a Songs of the Past ship date finer than 2027. Steam 5006530 is wishlistable. Fool's Theory is the co-developer. None of that moves the expansion into the 29 September Remastered download.

25 August announcement, 29 September launch

25 August 2026 is gamescom Opening Night Live and the Remastered announcement, with Steam news and the CDPR English post on the same beat. 29 September 2026 is the scheduled launch on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, native Switch 2, and Battle.net. Steam notes that PC requirements change that day. Those two ticks are the only Remastered dates on the line.

Yigsoft co-develops Remastered. Fool's Theory co-develops Songs of the Past. Mixing the studio names mixes the products. The Battle.net partnership and the Diablo 4 cosmetic attach to the 2026 store deal and the 2027 expansion purchase, not to the 2015 launch tick.

Use the year chips to rewrite the claims column only. 2015 stays a paid RPG. 2022 stays Next-Gen. 2026 stays Remastered. 2027 stays Songs of the Past. Steam PC requirements currently note that system requirements will change on 2026.09.29. That note is a launch-day flag on the 2015–2022 SKU, not a fourth 2026 date. gamescom Opening Night Live is 25 August; REDstreams around the show are schedule items, not extra ship dates. Reuters' 65 million copies figure is ecosystem context on the 2015 line, not a 2026 SKU.

How to read a tick without mixing products

Each tick has three fields: date, event, edition. If the edition column says Songs of the Past, the event is not a Remastered chapter even when the year is 2026. The 27 May 2026 announcement is the proof case. If the edition column says 2022 Next-Gen, ray tracing and photo mode belong there, not on 29 September. If the edition column says 2015 original, you are looking at the paid launch, not a free upgrade.

The hanging plates on this folio are Complete Edition gallery stills. They illustrate the 2015–2022 world the later products still use. They are not Letten, and they are not labelled as 2026 Remastered captures. Captions on this site say so in the line under the frame.

When a date is only a year, as 2027 is, do not invent a day. The last tick stays labelled 2027, with no official month or day on the CDPR or Steam stamp. The timeline pane must keep that year-only stamp when you click the last tick.
